HIP ANATOMY

Your hip is one of the largest joints in the body. It is a ball-and-socket joint, which means it should move in all directions – hopefully without any pain. As a major weight-bearing joint in the body, the hip provides significant mobility and support. Weight-bearing stresses on the hip during walking are approximately 5 times your body weight.
